watstream was born from the idea to revolutionise the supply of service and drinking water in coastal areas worldwide. Peter Furian invented and developed an innovative water treatment technology and together with Herbert Golß brought together a team of specialists to successfully deliver it, following European sanitary, safety and sustainability standards.
watstream water plants have been certified by international laboratories and sanitary institutions, produce high quality drinking water, contribute to the UN’s sustainable development goals and count with the academic support of Technikum Wien University in order to keep innovating and improving.

CEO & Founder
herbert gölß
Herbert Gölß counts with several decades of experience as a project manager in plant construction, specialised in consulting engineering in technical and economic matters, in order to achieve cost-, time- and quality-optimised project executions. His main task as Managing Director at watstream is the interdisciplinary control of the individual parts of the project.
Education: Higher Technical Education in Mechanical Engineering.
Chief Technology Director
peter furian
Peter Furian started his professional career with the development and construction of water and heat recovery plants, as well as water treatment plants for contaminated landfill groundwater. Since 2002, Peter Furian has been exclusively involved in the development and construction of seawater desalination plants for drinking water treatment in Croatia and Spain.
Education: Apprenticeship as Master Craftsman in Water Installations in 1970 and countless trainings and certificates to become a water treatment technician.

andreas gratzl
Andreas Gratzl provides a wide spectrum of international experience in leadership and executive management of multinational corporations, family-owned businesses and private trusts in the fields of financial services, business development, corporate restructuring, real estate asset management and corporate investments. He is also founder of a multi-family office in Austria that works closely with selected Austrian trusts and family-owned businesses.
Education: Higher Technical Education in Electronics and Telecommunications (TGM Vienna); Bachelor in Informatics for Business Administration; PhD in Business Administration and Executive Leadership Program of the London Business School.

Heinz Sares has 30 years of experience in operational and strategic corporate management. He is a management consultant as well as an academically certified CSR and sustainability manager with a focus on climate neutrality, SDGs and sustainable development, a specialist in the field of CO2 emissions, a board member of Zukunftswerk eG and a member of the CSR Consultants Experts Group Vienna.
Education: Quint.Essenz master class for integrated sustainability management, ECQA certified applied sustainability & CSR Professional, business ethics institute WEISS university course "CSR & sustainability", GRI certified training course based on the GRI sustainability reporting standards, certified mental trainer.

Luciana Trippolt has experience in solid waste management and physicochemical water analysis. She worked in ecotoxicological and microbiological laboratories with emphasis on endocrine disruptors. She has expertise in sustainable ecological sanitation and sustainable decentralized sanitation technologies. Participant in activism projects, seminars and dialogues of United Nations and non-governmental organizations.
Education: Bachelor of Science in "Environmental Engineering". Master of Science in "Environmental Management and Ecotoxicology".

Isabelle Sousa began her career as a lawyer in Brazil in 2018, in the areas of Tax, Civil and Business Law, in civil litigation and providing legal advice and consultancy to dozens of clients to carry out their business in compliance and with legal certainty. As a self-employed lawyer, she has accumulated administrative and organisational knowledge, being a diplomatic and communicative problem-solver. She also began her studies in Information Technology and Programming in Portugal, demonstrating her ability to adapt to different challenges. At watstream she mediates with potential customers offering efficient solutions and ensuring a good deal for all parties.

Paula Rodríguez counts with an ample experience in international high tech/medical devices companies. She has developed her career in different Marketing and Sales positions with a strong customer focus. Her passion for marine ecology have motivated her to enhance her career path through additional training to specialise in desalinisation plants, bringing her technical background closer to her passion. Fluent in English, this native Spanish speaker with German family bounds serves as the ideal costumer Liaison for the Spanish market.
